Hoorneboeg Hilversum

women's wellbeing weekend

women's wellbeing weekend

Life Coaching and Mindfulness weekend retreat for busy working women, ambitious female entrepreneurs and hard-working mama’s (and any combination of the above!) who feel stuck in their everyday chaos, longing to break free and live life on their own terms.

Women’s Wellbeing Weekend Retreat

WWW is a series of weekend retreats at The Hoorneboeg for modern day international women looking to enhance their overall sense of happiness, satisfaction and fulfilment. Situated in the middle of a beautiful nature reserve just 30 minutes from Amsterdam, Utrecht and Amersfoort, it’s the perfect location for a full immersion in nature without the hassle of having to travel far.

The focus of every WWW retreat is slightly different (and therefore it is very well possible to join us again!), yet the aim is always to create some time for yourself, taking a step back from your busy life, slowing down and allowing yourself to lean into your own emotions, thoughts, desires and creativity. All while enjoying the stunning beauty of the Hoorneboegse Heide, the all-inclusive experience in a luxury accommodation, nourishing food and the uplifting company of a group of like-minded international women.

  •  Imagine actually LIVING your life, instead of being alive and just going through the motions.

  • And now picture living YOUR life, instead of constantly trying to meet other people’s expectations.

  • Are you ready to take responsibility and action towards your own happiness?

Life Coaching

“Coaching is partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.” - ICF (International Coaching Federation)

You will be lovingly guided by Pauline Alberts, a multiple certified holistic life and leadership coach. Pauline started coaching when she lived in Doha, Qatar in 2016. She’s passionate about helping women release stress, create clarity and gain focus, so they can live their lives with intention and purpose. This enhances motivation and always leads to a greater sense of happiness, satisfaction and fulfilment, no matter where in the world or at what stage of life you are. Every retreat will have at least one additional workshop or lecture from an expert speaker.

The coaching sessions during the retreat are in small groups of 8-12 people. These are powerful sessions that will lead to new insights and offer enormous personal growth. In case you would like some extra support or a further deep dive, there is an option to book an additional 1-on-1 coaching session with Pauline during your stay at the Hoorneboeg. Spaces are limited and will be offered on a first come, first serve basis.  To inquire about the availability of a spot or for more information, please indicate this on your booking form.

Mindfulness

Throughout the weekend Pauline will incorporate different mindfulness practices and techniques to allow you to slow down and become fully present. When you’re mindful, you reduce stress, enhance performance, gain insight and awareness through observing your own mind, and increase your attention to others’ well-being.

‘Mindfulness doesn’t eliminate stress or other difficulties; instead, by becoming aware of unpleasant thoughts and emotions that arise because of challenging situations, you have more choice in how to handle them in the moment - and a better chance of reacting calmly and empathetically when faced with stress or challenges. Of course, practicing mindfulness does not mean you never get angry - rather it allows you to be more thoughtful in how you want to respond, whether that's calmly and empathetically or perhaps, occasionally with measured anger.’ (source: www.headspace.com)

  • Are you looking for more balance, clarity and focus?

  • Did you forget what intrinsic motivation feels like?

  • Would you love to find your mojo and spark again?

The Five Elements of a WWW Retreat:

Awareness - notice where you are now, and the struggles and stressors in your life.

Clarity - exploring energy blocks: discover what’s in the way of your success.

Influencers - define your wants and needs and craft your success formula.

Vision - create a visual anchor of what you want to focus on and manifest in your life.

Goal Setting - closing the gap with tangible action steps to actually reach your goals.

What you may expect

  • You will discover how to become the creator and the leader of your own life.

  • You will learn to respond, instead of react; create, instead of wait; thrive, instead of survive.

  • You will leave feeling deeply grounded, intimately connected and with a clear vision of what you want and need in your life to live with -and on- purpose.

Location

Cultural Estate The Hoorneboeg

The aim of all initiatives at De Hoorneboeg is to create a place where people can connect with nature, with others and with themselves. A place for awareness, connection and personal development to make the world a little more beautiful.

History

Until 1792, De Hoorneboeg was a small, sparse hill in the middle of a heathland plain caused by advancing land ice in the Ice Age. To revitalise agriculture in the Gooi, pieces of heathland were leased out since the early 18th century. First only bordering Loosdrecht and 's-Graveland, but eventually also the area now called De Hoorneboeg.

It turned out to be a perfect place for the development of a country estate. It has known many owners since the 18th century, and it wasn’t until 2018 that the current owners (De Hoorneboeg Cultural Estate Foundation) turned it into an 'Outdoor space for inspiration'.

Accommodation

The Villa

We have the exclusive use of the Clubhuis in the Villa during the whole weekend. We will gather in this beautifully restored venue for all our creative sessions and deeper inner work. If the weather allows it, we can sit outside in the beautiful secluded garden and there are coffee and tea making facilities and fresh fruit available throughout the day.

Single and Twin Rooms

The rooms are spread out over several beautiful houses on the estate, but all within 5 minutes walking of the Villa. Each house has a living room, kitchen (with free coffee and tea making facilities) and 2, 3, or 4 bedrooms. Most rooms are single rooms, a few are also suitable for two friends coming on retreat together. All rooms have shared bathrooms and one or more separate toilets for 1, 2 or 3 other people.

Single Deluxe Room

One room has a private bathroom (toilet is shared). This Single Deluxe Room will be offered on a first come, first serve basis.

Tiny House (single)

Depending on the amount of people, there is also the option to book an exclusive ‘glamping’ experience in your private Tiny House (‘Pipowagen’) in the middle of nature. Although this might not be everyone’s cup of tea, they are adorable little trailers and offer a very special close to nature feel, with the luxury of a comfortable bed, a desk and chair, heating and your own private veranda. There are two shared bathrooms and two toilets (shared with two other trailers) just around the corner.

Delicious Meals

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be at the cosy restaurant De Tuinman. Organic home-grown ingredients are used to make nutritious vegetarian dishes, that are not only a feast to the eyes, but taste incredible as well. All meals are served in a relaxing atmosphere at long wooden tables in the garden or in the greenhouse.

What other people say

Pauline has been instrumental in helping me reframe my thoughts around returning to work after a break for children and has helped me to think about what I really want my family - work life to look like. I was struggling with blending my career aspirations with my role as a mum and Pauline gave me such a new perspective which was both refreshing and encouraging […] It also made me consider and reflect on my own needs which are so often forgotten when you become a mum. I found the sessions so useful. Highly recommended. ~ Hannah

***

Pauline, you are a fantastic coach; an amazing listener and an incredibly empathetic person with a great sense of humor. I feel really lucky and deeply grateful for having you as my guide through all of this! Even though it is a very complex process and I often felt quite delicate going through it, I never felt rushed or ambushed, my boundaries were always respected, even when being challenged. I have learned and am continuing to learn so much about myself and how to handle struggles and my complicated personality/life thanks to our sessions. From the bottom of my heart: thank you! ~ Zsófia

***

Before I met Pauline, I was struggling with some major changes in my career. I was having a hard time balancing life and work, constantly struggling with feelings of guilt for working long hours instead of spending time with my children or partner, let alone finding time for myself.

Pauline helped me with some effective tools that I could apply in my everyday life. Simply by becoming aware of how I phrased certain things, I was able to step out of a victim role realising I was in charge no matter what and I’m the one making the decisions. I still sometimes put work first - but now it is a conscious decision. ~ Richelle
